DPERD explore their souls in a mix of Dark Wave with a filmic fusion of melancholic Dark Rock and Pop music. DPERD come back with "Monsters", their 7th album, a release that will mark a turning point in band's career, opening up to international sounds and languages while the sophisticated magic isolation that has characterized them in the last 20 years will remain in their art.
DPERD contaminate their music with different styles and use new instruments like mellotron and trumpet, giving to their music a new aura and new vibrations that permit to say that "Monsters" is the best and most mature album written by the Sicilian duo.
The magic of The Cure, Cocteau Twins but also the grandeur of Dead Can Dance, Lycia, Cranes, is influenced by the sublime atmospheres of Anekdoten's music and this superb sense of beauty is emphasized in a magnificent way by Valeria's voice.
The great German photographer Lilith Terra is behind the amazing self-portrait we used as cover artwork for "Monsters".
